TERMS OF SALE
Our goal is to provide you with great products at great prices. We want you to be pleased with your purchase. The following information is provided to clarify our policies.
PAYMENT TERMS – All orders require a minimum initial payment of at least 50% of the total order amount. Payment of your initial deposit indicates your agreement of these terms. The initial payment may be made in cash, personal check, or credit card. When your order arrives at our warehouse final payment is due in full immediately. If you are not ready for delivery we will arrange to have your order stored in our warehouse. When you are ready for delivery we will need a minimum of 3-business days notice. Payment in cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card is required prior to release of any merchandise. Orders not paid in full within 48 hours of them arriving in our warehouse will be charged $10/ day for storage fee’s per order.
CANCELLATIONS/EXCHANGES/RETURNS – As a courtesy to our customers, orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of initial deposit. After 24 hours a 30% restocking fee that will apply. Custom orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable. Delivered orders are non cancelable and non refundable. Payment made on orders cancelled within the 24 hours will be refunded, in like method of payment, within 15 business days.
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME – We do our best to assure your merchandise arrives within the estimated arrival period. Most manufacturers ship within 6 weeks. Factory, shipping, and trucking schedules can change without notice; therefore, delivery times indicated are an estimate and not guaranteed. Since these delivery schedules are estimates, we cannot offer any monetary compensation, order cancellation or deposit refunds. Should a delay occur we will notify you as soon as the vendor notifies us.
DELIVERY – Delivery is not included in your purchase prices. Delivery fees will be added to your order. The fee charged is for one delivery of all merchandise ordered. Multiple or additional deliveries will be charged accordingly. If you elect to pick up your own merchandise, we are not responsible for the condition of the merchandise once it leaves our premises or while you load your vehicle. Whether opting for our delivery service or using your own vehicle, final payment must be received prior to the release of merchandise.
COLOR/FINISH – We do our best to ensure the product you receive matches your order, however all illustrations, pictures, wood or other samples are approximations. Due to the uniqueness of some products – color, finish, grain, and stain may vary on each item. Irregularities and variation to the color and texture are characteristic in these product types. This adds to the natural beauty and should not be considered as defective. Continual exposure to light and temperature changes will affect the wear of the merchandise.
TAXES – The appropriate state and city sales tax is not included in the price of the merchandise and will be added to your order. Eligible resellers need to supply a copy of their Sales Resale License and complete a Tax Exemption Form specifically stating the merchandise is for resale.
WARRANTY – Whitehouse Direct does not warranty any merchandise. Any warranty that is offered by the manufacturer is passed along to the purchaser. Any and all manufacturer warranties exclude ordinary wear and tear, color fastness, or any damage caused by misuse, cleaning, mishandling, abuse or intentional damage. Whitehouse Direct makes no statement of warranty, agreements, or representations, express or implied, except as state in writing. In the unlikely event of defective merchandise, the manufacturer has the option to repair or replace the defective parts or complete unit. Please take ample time for proper inspection at the time you receive the merchandise. Claims for visible damage must be made at that time. There will be no adjustments thereafter. Merchandise being returned to us for warranty or repair is at purchaser’s expense. Purchaser must have prior consent by Whitehouse Direct to accept the merchandise at its facility and an appointment must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
ASSEMBLY – Some merchandise may require assembly. Assembly is covered in our sale price.
SIZE LIMITATIONS – You are responsible for any size limitations or constraints in receiving your merchandise. Please be conscious of passages (i.e. stairwells, doorways, elevators, vehicles), which may cause a problem for you or our delivery service. Undeliverable items due to size limitations will be left with the purchaser or subject to a restocking and/or redelivery fee. No cancellations or refund will be accepted due to size limitations.
STORAGE – If your items arrive in our warehouse and you are not ready for the items, they may be stored at our warehouse for up to 60 days at no charge as long as the order is paid in full within 48 hours of them arriving in our warehouse. Orders not picked up or remaining undelivered for more than 60 days after you have been notified of arrival are subject to a $10 per day per piece storage fee. Merchandise not picked up after 90 days will be considered abandoned and will be resold. In addition, any deposit will be forfeited.
DISCONTINUANCE – From time to time manufacturers change or discontinue certain products. We make every attempt to make sure the merchandise you order is available at the time of order. If a manufacturer discontinues the item(s) you order and you do not want to accept a like item, we will refund ay payments made to Whitehouse Direct upon your request. We cannot offer any additional compensation.
ENFORCEMENT – If Whitehouse Direct has to commence any proceeding to enforce the terms here of; you shall pay all reasonable attorneys fees in addition to court costs. The title to the merchandise shall remain with Whitehouse Direct until the entire amount due has been paid in full. If we receive a returned check or stop payment check, you will be charged $50, plus all ensuing amounts due become payable in cash or cashiers check.
